This library contains an archive of materials made and used by Palestinian prisoners held in Israeli prisons between 1975 and 1995. The books gave rise to a self-education movement and stimulated political debate among prisoners. The collection contains 8,000 volumes of published books and 870 notebooks. This volume appears to have been used to pass notes between prisoners.
