Book destroyed during WWII, Naradowa Library, National Library of Poland, Warsaw, Poland, 2016

The Narodowa Library is a part of the National Library of Poland. Here I photographed another example of bibliocide showing a book partially destroyed during the war in Poland and now housed in a special display case. A Polish librarian later explained that this photograph is an illustration of the future of Poland. The book represents the destruction of Polands great past cultural achievements, and the future is in the hands of the Polish people to shape.
